Oh yeah, that bad boy was dummy text.

I was just wondering how far you will scroll and read to.

Short.vc stands for short virtual conversations.

No need to remind me that .vc makes you think of venture capital or that it’s from St. Vincent.

I know, I know.

You came here to understand why this project is happening?

It’s pretty simple.

I. I got bored.

It’s as simple as that.

I was reading the news, and I got bored.

Why is reading this boring stuff so boring? Why can’t it be fun?

As a marketer, I need to stay on top of my game and be informed.

II. I needed to get better at copywriting.

You thought there was more?

Doing good headlines and writing good copy is hard. Writing great copy that keeps people reading is harder. But you’re still here, so I must be doing something right.

Rewriting headlines provided and summarizing articles is not an easy job.

It gives me great practice at copywriting, and summarizing briefs.

III. I need to get better at programming.

Chatbots that will make this whole project actually interesting, and interactive.

I will be writing the whole thing in Python and Javascript.

Why?

Because I wanted to practice those languages. That’s it.

It will also be a nice way to consume media and make it interesting and not dread political news.

IV. I wanted to launch another product.

I’m legitimately curious where this will go.

I’ve always wanted to get involved into SaaS. But to get in with a good job, you need 20 years of experience, unicorns blood, to fight 4 gremlins under a bridge, and to kick the sun without crying.

So I decided to make this product, award myself the position of CMO & CEO because I can.

Because I don’t believe in “opportunities”.

You make your own.

You work hard, you learn, and you work harder.

It’s 2 am, and I’m working in 6 hours.

Some people might say it’s reckless.

Just like jaywalking.

But I like what I do, and I want to change the way we consume media.

One sentence at a time.
